Forzacentral at the Core of Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon

Last year, our team at Turn 10 Studios celebrated the 10-year anniversary of Forza Motorsport on Xbox. We’re proud of the community that we’ve built since those early days, including gamers that have gone on to become professional drivers, livery artists that inspire us with their creativity, and the thousands of stories and photos submitted by our fans, just to name a few. It’s a constant reminder that the Forza community is passionate, diverse, and going strong, with more than 11 million unique players on Xbox One. You have made Forza the best-selling racing franchise of this console generation and, along the way, you’ve helped create a place where car lovers of every stripe can share that passion together.

Introducing Forza Horizon 3

I’m thrilled to share that this morning at the E3 Xbox Briefing, we announced the newest entry in the Forza franchise, Forza Horizon 3 – which arrives worldwide this September 27, exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.

This time around, we’ve taken the Horizon Festival to Australia. As one of the most beautiful and varied countries in the world, Australia makes the perfect setting for Forza Horizon 3 and the team at Playground has translated the Land Down Under into the largest and most diverse open world ever seen in the Forza Horizon series. Just like the real place, the Australia of Forza Horizon 3 is absolutely massive – in fact, it’s is twice as big as Forza Horizon 2’s map. More importantly, Forza Horizon 3’s vision of Australia captures the spectacular natural beauty, the tremendous diversity, and the environmental variety that makes the country one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Australia’s natural beauty abounds in Forza Horizon 3. From exploring bioluminescent caves that look like something out of a science fiction movie, to skipping across the beach and skimming the...
New partnership with Michelin to kickoff with event celebrating most famous 24-hour race

The Petersen Automotive Museum has partnered with Michelin, Microsoft, and Ford to launch its newest membership add-on, the Forza Motorsport Membership Pass, with a viewing party of the 84th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 18. Museum members and fans are invited to watch the race live in the Bruce Meyer Family Gallery while select three-person teams will also get the chance to compete in a three-hour endurance race in the new Ford GT race car on the Petersen’s Forza Motorsport 6 simulators. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

“Most of the staff at the Petersen are huge racing fans and there is no bigger race for us than the 24 Hours of Le Mans,” said Petersen Chief Marketing Officer, Adam Langsbard. “We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to celebrate this race with our members and with our partners in Microsoft, Michelin, and Ford and look forward to putting on many more events like this one for our new Forza Motorsport Membership Pass holders. We are also thrilled to unveil the new interactive sliding wall from Michelin and know that it will be an immensely popular addition to the museum.”

Michelin has donated an incredible interactive sliding video wall that lets museum-goers see up close what goes into turning a factory car into a race car. Located outside of the Forza Motorsports Racing Experience on the museum’s second floor, the custom-designed system uses a lightweight aluminum slider that will “scan” a background image of a factory car and illustrate on a 65-inch high-resolution touch screen all of the mechanical and aesthetic differences while also providing interactive demonstrations of the changes on a variety of cars, including the 2017 Ford GT.

“We’re thrilled to be getting involved with a world class...

The Dawn shares the platform of the Wraith coupe, so it weighs in similarly at well over 5,000 pounds. From the twin-turbo W12-cylinder motor that pulls like a freight train, to the sumptuous leather and elegant wood trim, every ounce was well-considered. Weight aside, the Dawn will surprise you with its ability to hold a line through a corner and achieve its top speed of over 150 mph. Don’t expect the roar of a rumbling exhaust or wheezing expulsions from blow-off valves though. This...
