March is still coming in like a lion with the arrival of the Meguiar’s Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6, featuring seven amazing cars from a slew of automotive genres and nearly as many eras of production.

Leading off the pack is one of the most requested cars from the Forza community – the new turbo-charged 2015 Ferrari 488 GTB. Backing up the 488 is the first Corvette Daytona Prototype to hit the tracks of Forza Motorsport 6, along with a Le Mans winning prototype, and a cadre of classics that are set to impress.

The Meguiar’s Car Pack is the sixth and final car pack included in the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass. If you don’t have the Car Pass, which offers the first six monthly car packs for Forza Motorsport 6 at a discounted price, each car in this pack is also available individually.

2015 Ferrari 488 GTB
MarDLC_FER_488GTB_16_Forza6_WM.jpg
Ferrari’s 488 GTB is meant to replace the now-legendary 458, and it wears its predecessor’s unmistakable form like a badge of honor. This time around, however, the sleek body generates 50 percent more downforce and significantly reduces aerodynamic drag. The new front double-splitter directs air to the radiator and the scalloped side intakes, while paying homage to the 308 GTB, also move air to the turbos. Yes, this Ferrari has a pair of twin-scroll, ball-bearing turbos with twin-intercoolers. The 3.9L motor is a V8 displacing 488ccs per cylinder, hence the 488 moniker. It produces a different sound than you may be used to hearing from previous prancing horses, but it is nonetheless a wonderful and exorbitant noise that propels the 488 more efficiently than its predecessor. Borrowing technology put to use in LaFerrari, the carbon-fiber brakes stop the 488 nearly 10 percent faster than the 458 as well. Times may change, technology may progress, but one thing never changes – the feeling of driving a Ferrari. That is timeless.

The 86th annual Geneva International Motor Show kicks off this week in Geneva, Switzerland – and in the spirit of the event, we’ve got some big Forza news to share. Xbox and Forza developer Turn 10 Studios are partnering up with Lamborghini to feature the all-new Lamborghini Centenario super sports car as the cover car of the next chapter in the critically-acclaimed Forza racing series.

We’re not quite ready to unveil the title or any big details on the next Forza game yet – you’ll have to wait for our Xbox media briefing at June 2016’s E3 for that – but the Centenario will be available “First in Forza,” which means that millions of Xbox One owners across the globe get to experience the virtual version of this incomparable car before it makes its debut in the real world. With its V12 architecture, the Centenario’s naturally aspirated engine produces 770 horsepower, powers from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds – with a top speed of more than 350 km/h.

In other words, it’s really freaking fast. And you get to see it for the first time in Forza!

centenario_next.png

The Centenario is an opportunity for Lamborghini’s designers and engineers to transcend some of the constraints of series car production to achieve an incomparable result: the super sports car has immediately proved itself as a desirable collectors’ car, while demonstrating new Lamborghini technologies and outstanding performance. It is the most fitting tribute to Ferruccio Lamborghini in his centenary year – a man who created an exceptional brand, believed that anything was possible and produced extraordinary, iconic cars. The Centenario is a super sports car for Ferruccio Lamborghini and the future he and the company believe in today. Using the V12 architecture, the Centenario’s naturally aspirated engine produces 770 hp and powers from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds with a top speed of...

With the racing season set to kick into full gear during this weekend’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race, Forza fans now have a chance to get their own taste of endurance racing glory with the Alpinestars Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 6, available on Thursday, Jan. 28. Leading off the pack of seven cars is last year’s 24 Hours of Daytona winner, the 2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype. The prototype will be fielded in this weekend’s race, which begins at 2 p.m. EST on Saturday, Jan. 30 and can be viewed live on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S.

The Alpinestars Car Pack features six additional cars, each with a unique pedigree all its own. From the 1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7 – also a competitor in Daytona 24 Hour events of years past – to the inimitable 2005 Pontiac Aztek (famous more for its fictional owner than its performance), this pack has something for every kind of car fan.

Forza Motorsport 6 is the only game where players can drive last year’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona winner on the recently remodeled Daytona International Speedway. To celebrate this, beginning on Jan. 28, Forza Motorsport 6 players will be able to compete in a special Rivals mode featuring the Ford Daytona Prototype on the Daytona Sports Car Circuit for a chance to win amazing Alpinestars prizes. See the full rules for more information.

The Alpinestars Car Pack is included at no additional cost to owners of the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass, which brings a new set of seven cars each month for six months. That’s 42 cars in total. If you don’t have the Car Pass, the pack can be purchased separately for $6.99. Cars can also be bought from the pack individually.

Senna & Prost trade cars for consoles to race fans in the next generation of gaming

Formula E drivers are no stranger to the pressure of delivering a fast lap and have grown accustomed to the tight confines of a cockpit. That’s all about to change when Bruno Senna and Nico Prost revive a classic rivalry to launch the first in a series of Forza 6 fan gaming events.

Instead of the more familiar noises of buffeting wind and screeching tyres, the drivers will have to get used to the buzz of the Gfinity Arena in London, the UK’s only dedicated eSports venue, to put their skills to the test on Forza 6 on the Xbox One.

Fans will get the chance to compare their best lap times with other Forza fanatics and go wheel-to-wheel with their favourite drivers streamed live across Formula E’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.

Alejandro Agag, CEO of Formula E, said: “Since the original concept of Formula E we have always been pushing the boundaries of what’s possible both on and off the track. As a series we want to bring electric racing closer to the people focussing on revolutionising fan interaction. Along with initiatives like FanBoost, the new eSports gaming events will allow fans to engage with the sport and not only be in the presence of their favourite drivers, but competing against them too. I need to start practicing if I’m going to get high up the leaderboard!”
“We are very proud to be hosting Formula E at our arena and helping to promote their typically exciting and ground-breaking tournament,”
said Neville Upton, CEO of Gfinity Arena. “This is testament to the growth of eSports across all sectors and our growing reputation of hosting fantastic and innovative events around the games."

Mahindra Racing’s Bruno Senna said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge of driving the Formula E car in a...
