Very cool, CamaroBoy. You'll love it. You know what they say about track days; "It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on."

Just curious, are you running with stock brakes, or have you upgraded your fluid and pads ? If there's one thing that can spoil your day, it's your brakes fading.

Thanks a lot for the compliments. I have stock disks on the front and stock drums in the rear. I installed Wilwood Polymatrix H compound pads on the front. I will be posting videos hopefully wednesday or if im lucky I can post a few videos tomorrow night. I just hope the car survives the day. The good news is it will be about 60 degrees and overcast so that will help keep the car cool but make the track a little harder to stick onto.

Cool. Dot 4 brake fluid helps a lot too. Once your fluid boils, that's when the worst fading begins. You should be fine at Gingerman though. Looking at the map, there aren't any very long straights where you really have to throw out the anchor from high speed. Maybe just for T11. T1 looks like it won't require any prolonged hard braking. Gingerman looks like a nicely flowing track.

Look foward to your report on how it went for you.

Oh yeah I flushed my entire fluid system with 400+ degree brake fluid. Some of my old stuff was almost black. yuck. My brakes still suck. I have to figure out a problem with my Master cylinder or the brake booster. Even though my MC is new I have a feeling it is defective and I just dont have time to check it before tomorrow.
Yeah Gingerman is a fairly flat and mild track. I know I should be able to hit over 100mph before I start braking for turn 11 since that strait away is over 1,400 ft long and I will be rolling out of turn 10 at probably around 40mph or faster.

I have to say this was the best experience I have ever had in in my life dealing with cars. You guys are not going to believe how well my Camaro did. I have to say that I even underestimated the performance of my 69 Camaro. Lets just say its a good thing they put me into the "A" class with the Corvettes and new Mustangs. I passed the new mustang after about a lap and then decided to attack the C5 Corvettes. Yes I said the C5 Corvettes. The black C5 was heavily modified and dynoed at 420HP.

MOVED THE VIDEO TO THE FIRST THREAD.
