Just in case you did not see the announcement, the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 is now available in FM4 for those who pre-order Forza Horizon at the selected retailers who offer the code.
"We've listened to the fans that want the old Forza tracks back, so in the FM4 UE we're proud to include... NY SHORT!"
It was a street circuit. The only one we had. (Well, at least since FM2) and now, it's gone. So that makes it special...i hope we get street circuits one day again.
I just recently popped in Forza 3, and played on it, and I missed it until I started racing on it again; all the memories of why the track was so terrible, came back to me.
*Spam Time* I think this is appropiate. The farewell video i made for FM3, which features all FM3 tracks now gone (and other things missing too...yes, the Aveo is one of them. It was a fun car, after all. Also Porsche, beacuse i thought it was gone forever):
I suspect it would be more like: "We've listened to the fans that want the old Forza tracks back, so in the FM4 UE we're proud to include... - Tommykaira Skyline R34 - Toyota VeilSide Supra Fortune 03
BADNED, did Turn 10/Microsoft give FM low grip levels for any reason in particular? I usually run with all assists off (but I'm always between auto and manual because I've been trying to get the hang of it for ages) but the traction breaking on every single corner just doesn't seem right. (I know some have already mentioned this but it must be in Turn 10's knowledge when they promote tire model so highly.)
Forgive my ignorance since I've never played Forza 1 much, but I'd much rather T10 work on including real-world tracks in FM5. I'd rather have the real Spa than Alpine Ring.
I was thinking, just this morning, that it felt as if T10 has recently INCREASED grip, I've been driving some powerful cars, and could have sworn they were more of a handlefull before.
OK guys back me up on this I was watching last weekends ALMS race at Lime Rock and once again noticing that purdy Lotus Evora. So knowing we seem to only be getting 2011 ALMS cars and not 2012 cars I just took a look at the 2011 ALMS race results for all of the races. I noticed the Abruzzi appeared in only two races and we have it in FM4. The Gallardo LP 560-4 only appeared in two races and we have it in FM4. The Aston Vantage appeared in two races and two Evoras appeared in one race, Petite Le Mans. So based on this do you think there is a high probability of both the Aston and Lotus appearing as DLC? The prescense of other models would seem to suggest so.
I would actually rather we all quickly forget everything Lotus did under that douchecanoe that was Dany Bahar and move on with proper Lotus'.
Street tracks I would love to see... it's a mixed pack... Tokyo from FM1 Seattle from GT3 (absolutly loved this track, very brutal and difficult!) New York Long from FM2 New York/Brooklyn from PGR
BADNED, if any more DLC was coming, would you say it would be a smaller amount or a larger amount? (per piece or as a whole) Still think we're getting a track. Oh and I want something like the real Rally Di Positano, long, twisty and with heaps of bumps. lastly, anyone here a game programmer who wouldn't be shy of putting effort into a project? (hypothetically speaking)
As far as DLC, I want to know when the cutoff is. I remeber FM3's whole debacle when, just before or after the DLC for that month was released/to be released, they mentioned, "Oh yeah, no more regular DLC btw." For the life of me I can't understand why someone would want their car in FM4. I've had the BRZ for a little over a week now, started with 7 miles and it has over 800 now, and I can toss it around IRL. To be honest, I haven't even touched FM4 except to get some sotrefront credits since I got the BRZ. I love that damn car.
This is a troll account, and he is hilarious. He also has a more serious video blog where he shares some pretty good points and insights into all sorts of shit, mostly video games, and his personal weight loss. It's more like dumb foreigner that can't tell an obvious troll.
So we're getting New York back? Hopefully they go all the way and give us the long version of Forza 1 too.
What's with Alpine Ring on the home page? Why are people saying we're getting a classic track. Also, *Fat guy curbstomps XBox, falls through floor*
The Coupe JCW is available since last year. What the report says is that there won't be a Coupe JCW GP!
Viper GTS-R will debut at Mid-Ohio on Aug. 4 http://www.autoblog.com/2012/07/13/viper-gts-r-will-debut-at-mid-ohio-on-aug-4-w-video/
Gosh I'm hoping for a couple more tracks. At least three completely different ones. On Top Gear James has driving a Maserati on a beautiful mountain road. Not so twisty like our Akaido one. A little bit faster with more straights and sweapers. Honestly, Maple Valley has "grown" to a beautiful track. Wouldn't it been great to create a larger "over the hills and far away" track? With a little fantasie Turn 10 could make a nice large track that could be seperated into different sections which includes driving through a wineyard, (a la OutRun), through an old village, a smaller village, over a beautiful bridge, a short tunnel, a deeper forest, (a lot like the trees overhanging the track in the uphill section of the original track), maybe a grass-like flat area with flower felds left and right of the track... It could be soooo wonderful. Turn 10 could easily make that the whole thing could be changed into smaller tracks or p2ps.
But we need theme so much, I'll just keep my pathetic hopes up. We're getting more and more cars, but not new terrain to play them on. That's ethically not right.
That is probably because you remembered them as being worse then they actually were. A lot the time memories portray certain things as being better or worse then they actually are as time goes by. As a result when you go back to experience it again the difference between how you remembered it and how it actually is causes you to think it has changed when in reality it hasn't. It doesn't even have to be that long either. Plus, the more you play this game the more you get used to the physics making it easier to control those powerful cars
