The 9th is found in the village to the far right corner.. i got that one first.. Its the Ferrari Testarossa.. Just got the one near the dam.. The BMW M1.. Got this from IGN: 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa The last barn is in Beaumont. Head to the South Beaumont Outpost in the target area and drive north. Look for an orange building -- there is a small street before you get to it. Take it and then turn right to find the last barn containing the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa.
How to trigger them i dont know but you can go to the IGN page there all the barn finds are explained!
I just got my testarossa triggered the other night. I had roughly 23 hours 49 minutes of driving time, 1878 miles, and was in the Kettle hills area in free roam when it triggered. I had been up to the barn itself multiple times while waiting. I also had 100% completetion, 70/70 races, all roads, all signs, all showcases, etc etc.
I finally got the trigger for the Daytona last night (was #7 of 9), I wasn't really doing anything memorable and was just free-roaming to the next race in the bottom left at the observatory - didn't look at my stats to see if there was anything there. Just waiting for the Ferrari and DBR1 now.
Speaking of triggering, anyone know what triggers the Showcase events? I left a few on the map and went ahead and beat the game, mopped up all the rest of the festival races, and found all the roads. Now I have 4 showcase events left that I haven't done and they're not on the map. Hmmm...
You get the showcase events when you hit a certain popularity level. If you have 4 levels left then it goes something like 1st, 25th, 75th, 120th - source, I'm 1st in my game and have done all showcase events.
I've done all of the showcase events according to my achievement list. I'm level 1 now. However, I did hear on the radio about this race where two 250 GTOs would be racing against each other? When do I get that? Is that even a showcase race?
I've noticed that after I got to 1st, the little yellow bar still fills up with XP but it takes a very long time. I wonder if that unlocks once you fill up the 1st bar?
Ah thanks, that makes sense. I think I'm still 93rd on the list. I haven't done any of the PR Stunts which I hear helps boost this.
I wouldn't say they do. General driving around at high speed, drifting, close passes & overtaking (amongst other things) will gain you XP... if you crash into a wall or another car, you'll lose this XP so you need to make sure you "bank it". You'll get to 1st naturally throughout the game once you progress but if you want to give it a little boost, then give yourself a really powerful RWD car and drift round the festival circle a few times - try and chain them together and get over 9,000 points to get the sponsor challenge, once you bank this you'll get probably 25-50k points and you'll go up around 5 places.
Another good way to gain XP very quickly is driving an awd car (around A class is good in this case) and go to the golf course. Drift around in circles, link drifts together, drift sideways off some of the lower hills. I was grabbing 45k in less than 5 minutes and there are no cars to accidentally hit you... just dont go too fast or you could roll the car when drifting sideways off a hill. 30-50mph is good for this. Speed doesnt = more points in this case, just keep it slow enough to not crash, but fast enough to keep the slide going. Manual Trans hels to keep it in 2nd gear or so.
It sounds like you guys have to find the cars by yourselves, in my case Hart calls that there is a new rumor that a barn find has been spotted, and a grey area where the car is is located on the map. I don't like that, are there any options for that or do you guys have the same boring way to get the cars?
They gave me a lifetime ban until 2146 or something like that. First offence... been on the site for 5 years... get banned for that... kinda bullshit if you ask me.
Wait they ban you for being on this site? Better not tell them I'm on here then. Only reason I'm on it is b/c it's a lot more active than this site.
Sorry guys, I forgot to say, I finally got that barn find. They banned me for posting a picture of Jim Carrey from Liar Liar saying "Stop breaking the law asshole" no sound or text... yet i get banned cause one of the asshole moderators have had it out for me for a while.
