i like the fact that there is a big metal pole or tree next to the track so they put a hay bail in front of it. i think the expression. "you can get it wrong once" applies.

grand-am continental challenge @ mid-ohio last month, inside joey atterbury's '10 camaro. the car had a slow leak in the right rear tire that left them with 12PSI at the end of the race(!!!), had some contact early in the race that killed the toe-in of the right rear, and had a broken front sway bar the moment it rolled onto the track(obviously unknown by the team). HUGE props to joey for actually remaining somewhat competitive with all of that!

I was thinking the other day that if manufacturers had kept developing the awesome and overpriced GT1 cars of the late 90's then this is the sort of thing that would be racing competitively today. The FIA GT1 World Championship is supposedly termed as the pinnacle of supercar racing.... dunno about anyone else but cars like the Nissan GTR isn't exactly what I would call a 'supercar'.

...it was built in '64 by the holman-moody crew, and ran over in europe by alan mann in some FIA races where it was very succesful. word has it that in a recent historic race at spa, this car was hanging with GT40s!!!

balls; HE HAS THEM. no way i would even attempt that ****! not talking about the big jumps either, i would totally give those a go, but i would absolutely annihilate my self in those narrow gaps between poles and block walls. that was just plain bad ass!

Yeah some of the jumps, even I would consider doing but the stairs at 55 seconds...OMG they are so narrow and the speed he is going down them is crazy. I reckon I would break many bones maybe even kill myself doing that.

I can get through narrow gaps not a problem but going through narrow caps whilst in mid air and at speed is just down right crazy. He has HUGE balls.

the AMAZING torchmate buggy at King of the Hammers this year. here's what it looks like...

the front axle is a fully custom ford Twin Traction Beam(TTB, found in ford pickups and early 90s explorers), which is basically a solid axle that hinges in the middle(much more to it than that, that's the ultra simplified version). essentially, both the benefits of a solid axle and the benefits of an IRS.
and, if you don't know about King of the Hammers, it's an endurance race that has large expanses of high speed desert sections in between really technical rock climbs.
