Im not buying this game anymore, f*ck them, the cut the F40, the 288 GTO, 250 GTO, 360 Modena or CS, all the Lamborghinis, no Mclaren F1 whatsoever.

They cutted all my favorite cars from the game so im cutting them from my buying list.

Another massive disappointment! , all my hopes are in Forza 4 and Shift 2 now.

I'm in two minds about this car list. Yes they have included some great cars but its such a small car list and I'm actually quite disappointed. They have cut alot of cars from TDU aswell. I'll still be pre ordering a copy but Atari aren't in my good books at the moment.

TDU servers have been down since Monday, should of been back up on Friday and still nothing...not even an explanation as to why it's taking so long to just change servers.

Wow, so many Zondas and Veyrons... (these must be Atari's Skylines) and yet no Z06 or ZR-1 or Lambos?? The F40 and F1 and are pretty big losses too....

This game just went from maybe being the only must have racer of 2011, to the watch list with Shift 2 and FM4...

Won't some of these be completely unaccesible due to the exclusive pre-orders as well? I have to look at that pre-order list again.

I'm surprised they took out so many from TDU, but maybe they'll be back in via DLC? Let's hope so.

The list is small, but there are enough enticing cars on there for me. I'm not as excited for this as I should be. I'm sure it'll still be an excellent game.

it's a little dissapointing to see no F40, no 250 of any sort (especially after being spoilt by the THREE in FM3), no corvettes and no lamborghinis, but I'm excited for the 2CV, the caterhams, the atom and the spykers.

but seriously, who puts both a V6 and a V8 camaro on their available cars list but no corvette built past 1962?

I would have to assume that they will be doing car packs just like the first game. Other wise there are just too many cars left out of the game.

Yah, I'm sure it'll be fine. DLC a'plenty most likely. This is a good starter list.
Even better if it is just a partial.

No word on if it's a complete list yet, but it's looking like it is.

Lamborghini is out for certain given they wanted too much money for lisencing. No word on Maserati, but I can assume the same thing I suppose. Bikes will be DLC. I am also assuming that the McLaren F1, Corvette ZR1, Viper ACR will be used to pad DLC content as well as other cars that aren't on the first list...weird but dunno.

Many of us think that is the plan, but i wont buy the game or its DLC because i dont like when game developers/publishers CUT things from the game to sell them later. In this case is obvious, they have 3d models already from TDU1 (which are good enough) and they told us to expect 175 to 208 cars.

I have bought every car pack for Forza because the game already have 400 cars and they keep updating the experiences giving us lots of new cars , in this case this quite the opposite, they will be selling a cutted game to charge more for a complete thing.

Thats why im not buying the game anymore if this is the final list, based of what i have seen in facebook and forums i guess they are not happy about the public response, maybe they will end changing that strategy because the people is pissed right now.

Good for you for standing strong, I have to admit, I'm pretty much a sucker for DLC to keep a game going. Especially racing games.

It is lousy when devs sell you things you know is on the disk from the get go. Nefarious planning to be sure. But yet, people still buy, myself included. Hopefully they'll be reasonably priced. Or like you said, they'll change their strategy due to the public response.

No offence but I didn't buy any packs but 1 for Forza 3 due to the feeling virtually all the new cars ie 2009/2010 models were held back for DLC only. Case in point the F458, remember how they showed that off before the game was even released! Also a lot of the cars in Forza 3 were basically those of Forza 2, people were talking about this when the carlist for Forza 3 was released also.

Like I said I'm not trying to start anything but I just found it from my pov funny how you said this:
Even though again imo you did exactly what you said don't like doing.

D you are confused because lots of the cars from Forza DLC didnt even exist when the game was launched. The Italia was showed little before of the game release, do you think they finish the game, send it to certification and then ship it to the world in just 2 weeks? Maybe the car didnt make it to the final list of car and the making of the gold disc, maybe even wast left out to be released as DLC BUT that doesnt mean it represents all the DLC cars.

Forza 3 was nothing like this, the game came with a massive roster of 400 very well selected cars and after that they added other models, they didnt cut any car to be selled as DLC later.
Most of the car didnt event appear in Tofu´s list.

Forza 2-3 represents what is good about DLC, Tdu 2 (if the release the car as DLC) represents whats bad about them (and of course those games with locked contents inside of the disc).

Sorry, but I don't buy the "We couldn't afford both". If they chose Ferrari, then why did they leave out some of its classic cars from the first TDU1? What's the Corvette excuse?

Not buying this at all now. Too many great cars from TDU1 being left out.

+1 Pretty much. TDU 2 should have started with TDU1 cars, including DLC, plus 50 - 70 new ones than DLC...that's usually how it works from what I've seen. Even if Lamborghini wanted too much money, I still find it weird that they had trouble getting Chevorlet's newest cars, Saleen or the old Koenigseggs. That's why it sounds odd that this is the complete list.

    Seriously though?

You guys won't buy it now?

    But... but it's Test Drive.
With the whole community and the racing and the cruising and the various times of day and the weather and the funky music.

    And it's new.
IMO, there aren't that many fun racing games with these qualities out there.

More info should come out in the near future, maybe this list will be revised.

You're absolutely right. Even if it came with just 1 car I'd still buy it.

And I too think it's a partial list. They've cut a bit too many cars from TDU1 for this to be the full list. Wasn't this given because they had a certain number of fans on facebook? They'll probably reveal the rest when it was originally planned.

Same as what I thought. I too am disappointed with some of the omissions on this list but there are still a lot of cars that I cant wait to drive around in. Also wasnt it only a few years back that Eden and Atari were facing financial difficulties and people were facing the possibility of there being no TDU2 at all. So im just glad that its here and im sure Eden will support the game for a good long time after the game is released. Im sure we'll see a good amount of cars added to the game post-release.

+1 Finally someone is talking some sense here.

TDU was a fantastic game that only grew tired for me when FM3 came out. And even then I still play it once in a while.

Although there are some omissions from the list that I would've loved to have, there is still plenty there to be desired. Jaguar D-Type anyone? Not to mention all the other changes to the game such as day cycles, weather, customizable houses, free roam dealerships, and a whole new island on top of a refreshed Oahu. This is still a pre-order for me.

Yeah, seriously! , this is a car game, so the most important thing for me is bieng able to drive the cars i want and this is especially important when the cars i want are in the first game but they get cutted (for stupid or greedy reasons).

This is the list of the missing cars from TDU 1, IMO is by FAR better than the actual car list of TDU2.

Wow, that's a lot of cars not in there. I didn't know it was that extensive.

The TDU2 list has to be incomplete, looking at that.

Or their DLC plan is MASSIVE.

If everything else is done well, I'll probably get it despite the lacking car list. But I mean if there are a ton of glitches and everything, the car list won't save it. That being said, it isn't a first day purchase for me, neither was Gran Turismo though, so it's not really a big deal. It just depends how everything is handled, i'll hold my judgement till it releases.

    Edit:

News: Leearigold @74wilbur The game is absolutely huge and we haven't released the full car list in total. Just remember that it is not GT5.

This game has nothing to do with GT5 or FM3 and should never be compared to them or any other racing game IMO. TDU is in another category, because it gives the freedom to just drive. They have what looks like half or close to half of the cars removed from TDU1. That is just not something looked down on for this game but any game. I hope they didnt release the final list these 100 cars. I was really excited about this game, but it looks as if they plan to have alot DLC (which is good), but when that many cars from the previous game was left out I feel alittle ripped off. Dumb ideal if that is the plan.

Im annoyed at fewer cars then expected (wheres the Lamborghinis and the McLaren F1) but I welcome inclusions of the Ariel Atom and the Ascari. Hopefully theres a ton of DLC, although this trend of holding back content which should have been in the game on launch day and then asking us to pay more money after we have paid out for the game in the first place is really starting to annoy me.

    Couldn't put that better myself.

If there's going to be an 'ultimate' edition coming out in a year then I might get it.

isnt this game going to sell significantly cheaper than most new games? I do remember reading that, and I mean TDU1 sold for only $40 when it came out.

The list is alright. But you have Oahu and a new map to drive on. And there's a original VW Beetle. Winnnn.

You people just complain too much about a damn video game lol

Even if there was only 1 island and 10 cars, I would be willing to pay full price. Yes I'm not happy with the car list but I can't think of any game that comes close to what TDU offers. I still play TDU at least once every week, I never really race...only cruise and that is what TDU is all about

I agree with you there, no other game has come close to what TDU has/had to offer in terms of just driving around mindlessly. Sure there's cars missing from the list I'd love to have back but I'm happy with the list for now, as we know it will grow with DLC's.

I've already got a pre-order on this. I'm definitely looking forward to it no matter how many cars there are. It's like a dream world for a car enthusiast. Epic cars, epic garages, epic maps, what more could you ask for?

While there are a load of cars missing that would be nice there are enough of great new additions and great cars left in the game from the first one to make it enjoyable for me. Add on top of that the fact that there is a brand new island, plus the first one with smoother roads and im sure this will be as enjoyable if not more so than the first one.

So bikes will be DLC, wonder if that particular pack will be free or not considering bikes were in the first TDU...
