People keep posting this crap all over the forum so let me finally set it straight, hopefully for the forum. The Xbox One games at E3 were running on Xbox One dev kits and not high end PCs. A particular developer showing off the game Lococycle did not finish porting their game to Xbox One so they ran their games on PCs at the event.

The lead for the developer below confirming they were the only ones at the event doing it and they were doing it on there own. There is another guy who was behind the scenes at E3 and said that the games were running on Xbox Ones and the crashes proved it. Another picture shows the game RYSE running on Xbox Ones on the floor and a video shows the UI run on a Xbox One showing off features on camera.

Xbox One with working UI and dashboard in above video.

Lococycle were the only ones running PC because they were not done porting to Xbox One yet. It was their decision to do it and no other Xbox One game was running on PCs.

Here is what the ARCADE game Lococycle looks like:

Alpha kits yeah, until they actually have the console hardware up and running. Not really the sort of thing you'd take to E3 to run a demo this late though, not even the sort of thing you'd continue using when the real console dev kit becomes available.

It's a devkit that uses a Windows 8 kernel just like the final console and the devkits also have kb+m so no this doesn't prove it wasn't on a devkit.

We already know from people that were actually at E3 that Xbox One games were running on devkits both on the floor and behind closed doors.

How does the Win8 kernel explain a system sound from the actual OS? The original Xbox ran a Win2k kernel, but that didn't mean you could boot it into the desktop.

Can we stop this crap now?

Every impressive looking game and mainly Forza 5 is confirmed to be running on a Xbox One and those that are running of PC environments with targeted hardware look no better if not as good as Forza 5.

Eh? You've just agreed with me that Dead Rising 3 was running on a PC and not an Xbox One.

PC debugging environment which basically reproduces the specs of the platform.

Honestly Dead Rising 3 doesn't look nearly as good as it would on PC hardware.

Microsoft sent us a response on this story. They said it was a development kit system.

That actually makes sense, if the game was running on a high end PC it would have looked as good as Drive Club does on a PS4.

/goes back to play Forza 4.

Too bad that not even a single Xbox One game looks nearly as good as Drive Club.
