Maybe. I like the 787B's stock livery. I'm trying to do something with the R18, but it's nigh impossible to design for.
My best attempt. The base colors bleed through in some areas, even with all the vinyl on. Not to mention the mirroring and the lack of available space. Probably the worst car to try to make a livery for, unless it's a pure fantasy livery.
AWESOME! What an amazing mix from the best of both liveries up there, pal! Seriously, a bit tweaks on some logos and you'll have a truly winner livery on your hands. =D
The problem is that the game engine renders things differently it seems. In the livery editor, there aren't any jagged edges around the Gulf logo, while in the game there are. I try to make them as smooth as possible, but the game still renders it that way in the race. That's what I assume you mean by "tweaks" to the logos.
Don't know why they can't just use vector output on the vinyls instead of bitmap, would be so much better. In any case, shitty detail would be to do with a lower LOD setting for vinyls in order to maximise framerates.
erm, you need more shutter speed, more aperture, that would make these shots allot better! (I am talking about the last 2 shots)
Well, I was talking about some typos and the "Mazda" logo that in my eyes has a bit of weirdo things. The Gulf logo itself is one of the bestest i've seen made on the game from 0, but you and Trae are right about you both say. It's kind of problematic to made some details with layers because of the inacuraccies the game promotes when working on the livery. In times of forza 3 i was thinking that would been corrected from FM2 but this issue never get totally corrected and, in some models (Like the R18 for example), it's getting even worse. Despite that, it's a 90/100 livery on the most severe rating. So it's a really great work. =)
Not my livery, but a good shot! I can't find any misspellings/typos. I replaced some of the original logos with some of my own, if that's what you mean. I didn't want it to be a nigh exact replica, just a paint scheme that was similair.
As I stated mainly the Mazda logo one. Others like the "CibiƩ" logo only needs a little reajustment on some letters that, oddly, looks a bit smaller in general comparison with all the logo, nothing that could be done in more than a minute And yes, I am one of those that had bought your design... Without having the 787B in the garage at this moment XD
Ripped off a 3:21.3 on Le Mans in my 787B! Some pics to celebrate. New Audi R15 Livery(mine) Peugeot 2011 livery(not mine) Bentley Speed 8 in profile.
I didn't feel like it this time and I didn't have any new shots of it. I figured I'd just post the new ones I had. lol.
Decided to alter the Honda Lola Gulf livery a little bit. Since they messed up the paint for the modeling(excessive brightness) I decided to go with black. KA-POW!
Oh, that last pic just remembered me the fever of "take a pic of the amazing Furai lights on the dark" when it was launched on FM3, thanks to that beautiful machine many people do some proper work on its day, and i'm not a exception on that case XD But sure, that pic you've posted is one of the bestest i've seen, tail-lights and flaming? Of course i like it, A LOT! =D And the other pic doesn't get behind. My love for Corvette Racing beasts it's just about than great than my love for that rotary extravaganzza.
Thanks for the comments guys. 155 at Hockenheim. Lamborghini Miura in a gulf livery inspired by 908 Spyder's livery. I may add the green later.
Anyone else besides me hate the passing challenges? The cars are worse than Gran Turismo in their racing lines. Worse because every now and then 1 will pop out inexplicably and block any type of line through a corner. Zero shutter speed to highlight the backfire.
4 backfires! And yes, there's a Gulf livery on my SF. V12 Zagato! And the best car of the pack, the one that's really low draggin wagon, the Country Squire!
I have a man crush on the Squire. Here's the 312 livery for people to see. Chevy Nova baby! Ultima GT-R. Don't worry, it'll be ponified soon. Hey look! It's a Chevy Corvair Corsair!
Added them. The issue with the 312 is the air intakes on both sides of the cockpit and the area just aft of the front wheels. Those stay the same color regardless of the vinyl on top or on the sides.
Thanks. I didn't notice until later, but the SL and the Pantera have the same angle. I guess I stick with what I like to see too much, shots that convey motion. Anyway, 2 new ones. 3 wide at Laguna. Daytona at Germany.
First shot, that dodge dart doesn't really fit in if I may say soo, but I really like that second backfire shot.
Sorry, had to play all of Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2, 2 new shots. Good thing races in Forza are only a couple of laps! I'll believe that when pigs can fl.......oh......
I hunt Unicorns now, apparently. Next 3 are of the Audi Quattro S1. Soon........ It's not a "dirty" lap if it's a rally car, right? Bond. James Bond.
The only 2 cars I bought in the pack. Other than the free 300C, which I don't plan on touching. Lotus Cortina. Austin Healey 3000
Thanks. Honestly though, IMO this has been the least interesting carpack. Half of it is new models and the other half are meh, save these 2. From what I understand the Venom is basically just like the Utlimate Aero. Crazy power that's awesome in a straight line but can't be used well in a turn.
The Venom is well balanced and handles pretty decently. However, due to the sheer speed you have to adjust to earlier braking points and smoother exits. Half the fun comes from actually managing this car. The Transit with a 965 hp V8 engine is just mad fun. 200 mph in Le Mans and this thing is all over the place. With a bit of fiddling it's also not too bad to drive. How can one not adore a Pacer? Especially with the Javelin V8. The Smart is basically like an office chair. Due to the short wheelbase and RWD it's sideways everywhere with a few modifications. I have a hard time thinking of another car park I had so much fun with. Yes, the cars might have been better suited for racing, but I don't see anything wrong with a few cars that simply can put a smile on your and other people's faces when you pull it out of the garage.
I guess it's just personal preference. I didn't buy the whole pack due to the more important DLC coming out this month and the only 2 cars I really desired were the 2 I bought.
